Philip James Lamere, 91, of Amery passed away peacefully on August 5, 2025 at his daughter's home. He was born November 1, 1933, in Apple River Township, WI, to Napoleon and Marion (Pearson) LaMere. He grew up in the Range area, where he spent much of his life. He attended Amery High but left prior to graduating to help out on the family farm. Philip enlisted in the Army, where he was honorably discharged to return to his family's farm to help out his parents.

On May 14, 1960, he was united in marriage to Shirley Bazey, and to this union three children were born. They settled on the farm south of Range, where he farmed for several years, eventually turning the family farm over to his son Philip. During his days of farming, he also worked at Golden Age Manor as an orderly.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Lynus, Lorraine "Bud", LeRoy, Donald, Virgil (died at birth), Ione Kantke; grandson, Taylor Dayton, nieces, nephews, and other family

He is survived by children: Richard (Nancy) Foudray of Winchester, IN, Teresa Frank, Lynn Dayton, Philip (Juanita) LaMere II all of Amery; grandchildren: Lori Newcomb, Katherine Burger, David Frank, Chaz Dayton, Arianne Banitt, Amanda Kohllman, Matthew LaMere, and Michael LaMere; great grandchildren: Lindsey, Madison, Keelan, Tommy, Vivian, Bennett, Cooper, Cameron, Harper, Theo, Marshal, Magnolia, Ernest, and Lucas; good friend, Carl Frank of Osceola; and other family and friends.

Grave services and military honors will be held at 3:30 PM on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at St. Mary's Cemetery in Range. Visitation will be from Noon-3 PM at Skinner Funeral Home in Turtle Lake. Pallbearers are grandchildren David, Mike, Matt, Amanda, Katherine, and Arianne.

A special thank you goes out to St. Croix Hospice for all of their great care not only to our dad but his family.
