Philip M. Liskey, age 77, of Honey Brook, PA, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 in the Chester County Hospital, West Chester, PA. Born on May 12, 1947 in Pottstown, PA, he was a son of the late Francis and Ruby (Jenkins) Liskey.
Mr. Liskey honorably served in the United States Army, serving a tour in Vietnam where he earned several decorations and medals including the Vietnam Service Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, and a Purple Heart.
Mr. Liskey mainly worked as a truck driver and warehouse manager. He began his career in trucking for Pepperidge Farm, followed by East Falls Chemical Company. After a short time driving for East Falls, he owned and operated his own shop called Devault Diesel, specializing in truck repair. He went on to manage the warehouse for East Falls Chemical and drive for Penn Tank Lines. Toward the end of his career, Mr. Liskey worked as a warehouse manager for J.E. Gasho, Inc. in West Chester, and most recently in the environmental industry building remediation units for Synergy Environmental in Royersford.
Mr. Liskey was a car enthusiast who had a fond appreciation for hot rods and classics. He enjoyed attending NHRA and drag racing events through the years at Maple Grove. Mr. Liskey also had a green thumb, growing and maintaining household plants, including his Christmas Cactus.
Mr. Liskey is survived by three daughters, Caroline, wife of Dan Jaynes, Marcy Liskey, and Tina Liskey; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and various nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three siblings, Janice Adrian, Linda Crawford, and Arnold Liskey.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc, 610 Main Street, Phoenixville, Pennsylvania on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Entombment will follow in the Philadelphia Memorial Park, Malvern, PA. Friends will be received on Wednesday evening, October 2, 2024 from 6:00 PM- 8:00 PM in the funeral home or again on Thursday morning from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Wounded Warrior Project by visiting woundedwarriorproject.org/donate. Arrangements are being handled by the Campbell - Ennis - Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Phoenixville, PA. Condolences may be offered online at www.PhoenixvilleFuneralHome.com.
