Marvin Lee Liskey of Mt. Crawford passed away peacefully on March 30, 2025. He was the son of the late Elizabeth Moleen Shull Liskey and Marvin Lenwood Liskey.
He was a loving father, brother, grandfather and friend and will be greatly missed. Marvin graduated from Turner Ashby High School and soon after chose to enlist in the Army where he became a tank driver. After an honorable discharge, Marvin became an inspector with the Virginia Department of Transportation. He took early State retirement and then continued working for several consultant firms. Finally taking a full retirement at age 75.
Marvin is survived by daughters, Lisa Will and husband, C. L., of Harrisonburg, Laurie Mcfarland and husband, Michael, of Anacortes, Washington, and grandsons, Chase Will, Ethan Mcfarland and Noah Mcfarland. Marvin is also survived by sisters, Linda Ferry and husband, John, of Pennsylvania and Pat Hensley of Mt. Crawford as well as several nieces and nephews.
Marvin was preceded in death by his life partner of 30 years, Pamela Hargrave, and brother in law, Alan Hensley.
A "Celebration of Life" will be held on Sunday, April 27th at 1:00 pm at Port Republic Riverside Church, 8525 Water Street, Port Republic, VA. A light lunch will be served prior to the service at 12:15, for all who wish to come.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Bridgewater Rescue Squad, PO Box 268, Bridgewater, VA 22812.

Lisa, C.L. And Chase, we are deeply saddened by Marvin“s passing and want you to know how sorry we are for your loss. We know how close you were and he will always be missed. Know you can lean on us for whatever you need in the difficult days and months ahead. We loved Marvin dearly and always think of him fondly. Love you all.
