Philip R. Meck, 88, of Fayetteville, PA, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, after out-living all of his doctor’s expectations. Born January 15, 1937, in Huntingdon, PA, he was the son of the late Thomas J. and Barbara E. VonMoose Meck. His beloved wife, Arlene Shauf Meck, preceded him in death on November 5, 1996.

Philip was employed as a Heavy Equipment Mobile Mechanic at Letterkenny Army Depot until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling. Although he was not currently a member of a church, Philip had faith in Jesus Christ as his savior.

He is survived by three sons, Phillip W. Meck (Connie) of Virginia Beach, VA, Trent D. Meck (Lesa) of McConnellsburg, and Troy L. Meck (Teresa) of Fayetteville; four grandchildren, Brandon, Nena, Logan and Cheyenne; and six great grandchildren, Landyn, Serenity, Greylen, Makayla, Maverick and Matthew. Aside from his parents and wife, Philip was preceded in death by his son, Clyde Meck; grandson, Shane Meck; and three sisters, Devena Tollett, June Coldsmith and Julia.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Parklawns Memorial Gardens. Rev. Ronald Cook will officiate. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg, PA. Condolences and memories may be shared at geiselfuneralhome.com.
