Philip Rowe, 92, went peacefully to his heavenly home April 13, 2025. He was born May 30, 1932, in Winchester, Indiana to Harry and Frances Rowe.
He attended Muncie Burrus from kindergarten through his junior year in high school when his family moved to Van Nuys, CA. There he graduated from high school in 1950 then attended UCLA until he was drafted. In the United States Army Phil served as an Army medic. When he finished his tour with the Army, he came back to Indiana and graduated from Indiana University with a Master's degree in science in 1957. He then went to work at Pitman-Moore in Zionsville and a year later he met the love of his life, Grace. They were married in 1958.
Phil was an avid fan of the Zionsville Eagles, the Cincinnati Reds and the Indiana University basketball and football teams.
He is survived by his wife, Grace, of 67 years and his children Fran (John) Seever and Jim (Tracey) Rowe, and son-in-law, Mike Purdy; his grandchildren James (Kara), Andrew, Amanda (Ryan), Laura (Aaron), Katie (Justin), Sarah (Chaz), Sam (Miranda) were his greatest love. Dad has twelve great grandchildren.
Phil is preceded in death by his daughter Jackie Purdy and grandson Andrew Seever.
He coached Little League, was involved with Zionsville Band, gardening, camping, and enjoyed traveling. He could fix anything.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to noon on Monday, May 5th at the Zionsville United Methodist Church in Zionsville with a memorial service to follow at noon.
