He graduated from East Aurora High School and attended Southern Illinois University. He graduated from SIU with a certificate as a dental technician. He then became the owner of his own gutter business named "Rain Carriers."
He is survived by his wife Marcia (Berg) Speck, of Aurora, Illinois. His son, Zachary (Rebecca) Speck, of Montgomery, Illinois. Brother, Steven (Nancy) Speck of Clinton, Iowa. Nephew, Chad (Amy) Speck of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Grandchildren Katelyn Joy Speck and Ryan Zachary Speck. Great Nephews/Niece Wyatt, Elsie, and Carter Speck. He is also survived by many friends and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Jeanette, his brother, Craig, and his niece, Stephanie Speck.
A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, May 4th, at 1:30 pm, at 2799 Oakmont Drive in Montgomery, Illinois. Lunch will be provided. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to St. Jude’s.
