Phillip Wayne "Phil" Ford, age 71, of Lowell, Arkansas passed away Friday, April 4, 2025 at Mercy Hospital Northwest Arkansas in Rogers, Arkansas.
He was born May 31, 1953 in Williamson, Illinois the son of Clyde Elijah and Matilda Susan (Fields) Ford. On January 12, 1973 in Barry County, Missouri he was united in marriage to Janice Carol Vanderpool, who survives. Also surviving are his daughters, Brandy Thiele and her husband Erich of Rogers, Arkansas and Jennifer Wages and her husband Travis of Rogers, Arkansas; brother, Elijah Clyde Ford and his wife Sumi of Las Vegas, Nevada; sister, Nancy Robbins of Cassville, Missouri and granddaughters, Sarah Thiele and Samantha Thiele.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Jerry Don Ford, and sister, Matilda Susan Skelton.
Phil attended school in Cassville, Missouri graduating from Cassville High School in 1971. He continued his education at MSSC in Joplin, Missouri where he attained a BS in Accounting. His passion for education was not just personal, as he became an advocate for learning, promoting education. He and Janice moved to the Rogers, Arkansas area 35 years ago from Alba, Missouri. Before embarking on a successful career as an accountant and owning his own business, TaxTime in Springdale, Arkansas for ten years, he worked as a machinist and farmer. Phil was an astute poker player, winning many poker tournaments. Some favorite pastimes were riding his motorcycle, socializing, and traveling. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, whom he loved unconditionally.
A memorial service will be held from 3:00 until 5:00 P.M. Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
Contributions may be made to donor's choice of charity in memory of Phil.
