Philip was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Mario Gonzales; and two sisters, Angie Nunez and Bonnie Sotelo.
He is survived by his wife, Maria Marrufo; four daughters, Leticia Rodriguez of Monahans, Rachel Sotelo of Monahans, Geneva Sotelo of San Angelo, Julie Sotelo of Monahans; one son, Phillip Gonzales, Jr. of Monahans; two brothers, Angel Gonzales of Abilene, Jimmy Gonzales of Uvalde; three sisters, Criselda Benitez of Snyder, Irene Bustos of Monahans, Delvia Abila of Washington State; 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
The family will have services at a later date.
