So sorry to hear of Dr Lambert´s passing. He was absolutely the best medical professor - he was incredibly intelligent and passed on his knowledge in such a kind and often humorous way. He was extremely humble and unassuming. Driving a car that was literally held together by duct tape despite being the best endocrinologist around. No doubt he has not only given Amazing care to thousands of patients but made a huge impact on countless future doctors, including myself. Such a huge loss and he will be dearly missed.

I am sad to hear of the passing of this great teacher... great man. He was a brilliant teacher and a patient man. He always had a smile on his face and was genuinely interested in what one had to say. I was incredibly fortunate to have him as a teacher during my 2 years in Saginaw.
Rest in peace Dr. Lampert.

Dr. Phillip Lambert was one of a kind. I first met him in 1991 when I suddenly fell ill (we would later find out that I have a rare disease). Some then, I have been a patient (on and off as needed) of Dr. Lambert´s. I, like many, was blessed with over 30 years of his love, care, patience, smiles, reassurances, Genius Mind, and so much more. He has saved my life multiple times throughout the years as well and always made sure I had the chance to see him when possible and he always made sure I received a hug from him. I cherish every memory I have of him, and know beyond a doubt that he is in Heaven, free of earthly problems. I love you always, Dr Lambert

So sorry to hear of his passing. I can recall Phil as a first year resident listen to his lectures. And the later being honored to call him a colleague and friend as faculty and FM program director. He was among the most brilliant of doctors I have work with and was the kindest man I know. I never say him cross or unhappy and also recall he had some fruit or snack in his lab coat pockets. And always handing out tootsie rolls at church. His passing is a loss to the entire medical community.

Phillip W. Lambert, M.D. was one of a kind; loving, compassionate, a great sense of humor, generous, dedicated, and someone who would be anything for you. He also loved chocolate!
Dr. Lambert attended college, medical school, completed an endocrinology fellowship, and landed in Saginaw, Michigan to begin his career seeing patients and begin teaching. He was a talented and caring physician who gave his patients the best care possible.
He was also passionate about teaching and gave his attention to the students who rounded with him from medical schools in Michigan, as well as off-shore medical schools. Dr. Lambert also spent time with the Internal Medicine Residents who were in the Saginaw area, encouraging them to learn everything they could.
Dr. Lambert never met a stranger, which was interesting because he was really very shy. I cherished his friendship as I am sure others would agree they felt the same way. He was my friend and I will miss him terribly. But, I know one thing for sure, he is in Heaven where he can be at peace.
Like many physicians, Dr. Lambert worked from morning to evening trying to accomplish patient care, teaching and paperwork that was always piling up on his desk. We won't discuss his office...it was filled with many things and he knew where everything was. Well, most of the time.
Dr. Lambert was quick to ask questions about others, their children and spouses. He wanted to know what we were doing and he had a twinkle in his eye and a smile on his face as he spoke. He did not like attention, but made it a point to know the name of everyone he encountered.
Here is an example: Dr. Lambert was generous and kind. He took the medical students out for lunch at the Olive Garden Restaurant, along with nurses, medical assistants, secretarial staff, etc. He insisted on everyone ordering whatever they wanted along with dessert, and he picked up the tab!!!! I will always remember he had the biggest smile on his face during those lunches. Everyone was talking and laughing....he was having the time of his life!
I am truly blessed to have been a friend to Dr. Lambert, and I will cherish all the times we had together. While he slowed down during his final years, he always had time to write me a card, as I am sure he did for others.
I know I will see him again one day, and it will be as if no time has gone by. I thank God for allowing me time to know Dr. Phillip Lambert while on this earth. Rest in peace dear friend.
Until we meet again............
