Phillip Earl McGill, passed away February 6, 2025, at his home in Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 64.
He was born September 12, 1960 in Kansas City, Missouri to Roy McGill, Sr. and Juanita McGill. He was the second of eight children born to the couple.
Phillip, attended Paseo High School and after graduation joined the United States Army in January of 1980 where he served for five YEARS RECEIVING AN HONORABLE DISCHARGE. While in the Army, Phillip learned leadership skills and established his high work ethic. He worked as a warehouse floor technician until he was forced to retire due to a work related injury.
Phillip was known for his infectious laughter and bondless imagination; he was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, sense of humor, his passion for barbecuing and Cadillac cars.
His passing left a void in the lives of all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father Roy McGill Sr.; brother Roy McGill Jr. and sister Stephanie McGill-Gunn.
Phillip is survived by his children Lyniece Brown(Andrew, Sr.) and Phillip McGill, Jr.; bonus children Bobby Freeny and Janae Robinson; grandchildren Dezariyah Brown, Andrew Brown Jr.; sisters Sheila Wright, Dana McGill-Brown(Nathaniel, Jr.); brothers Tony McGill, Terry McGill(Janet), Tracey McGill; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends.
Funeral service held ; Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025. Elite Funeral Chapel 11525 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, Mo. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM, funeral service 11:00 AM.
