who passed away on March 13, 2025, at the age of 67. He was born December 6, 1958, in Springfield, Massachusetts, son of the late Sylvia and Leroy Rout.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Marcia Rout-Smarr and his beloved dog, Root Boy.
Phillip is survived by wife Patti Campbell, brothers, David Rout (Debbie), Alan Rout and sister Sharon Rout, all of Virginia.
Phillip was a great artist, painted and etched many pictures of the beach in Nags Head, lighthouses,
mountains and many more. He was very involved with his Vanner's club, his van was the Pool Shark.
He traveled all over the country. He could make anyone smile. He had a big heart full of life. He was kind to anyone he met and made people around him feel special.
His spirit goes on and he will be greatly missed. He had so much love to share and will never be forgotten.

Peace to you my friend, I posted some art work Phillip did for my daughter some years back she has kept it all these years he was always doing little things for people, loved going to his place & playing with his chinchilla's he was an animal lover with a kind heart, will be seeing you again one day - Roger & Nancy

God blessed us with aPhillips presence.
He was definitely a One of a Kind of person.
Always had a smile on him regardless of circumstances.
I'm sorry for not being able to get over to the hospital to see you my Ole Friend.
You will sorely missed as I already miss our Video and voice conversations which happened quite often.
