Phillis Schley Obituary
She was born on September 23, 1936 in Patricksburg, IN to the late Dennis and Faye (Cahall) Dickey.
Phillis graduated from Lafayette Jeff High School and went on to become a realtor.
On November 21, 1987 she married Robert E. Schley, Sr. He preceded her in death in 2002.
Phillis was a real estate agent and owned Tri-Star Realty then later worked for State INDOT. Prior to being a realtor she owned and operated the Pizza Inn.
Phillis enjoyed yard work and collecting nic-nacs and enjoyed the company of her grand kids and her dogs.
She was a member of the Gathering Point Church in Dayton.
Surviving are her sons, Dennis Romack of Lafayette, David (Misty) Romack of AZ, and Dean (Jenny) Romack of Lafayette and her brother, Harold Dickey of Pensecola, FL. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Eric, Brice, Jordan, Brittany, Michael, Nikki, Cody, and Cory, and her great grandchildren; Kaizlynn, Jennaca, and Kevin.
She is preceded in death by her brothers; Donald, Lee, and Dean.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025 from 11-1 p.m. with funeral services beginning at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Battle Ground Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Gathering Point Church in loving memory of Phillis.

We were in same graduating class at Jefferson High School. She was always so
happy and friendly to all.

Phillis was a good neighbor and friend. We had many visits while her doggies played in her front yard, before we moved out of the neighborhood.

Phillis was a great neighbor for 34 years. Always had the beautiful smile just like her picture. Always so kind and personal. Her demeanor was magntic and just drew you close to her. Our visit to the hospital to see her she was still her very kind and loving self. Jim & I shall miss her warm smile and kindness. Denny was the faithful son to stay with his mom to the end of her life @ home. Our prayers will continue for Denny and the rest of the family. Our hearts are heavy as we lost a great neighbor and dear friend. Looking forward to the time we shall see Phillis again in Heaven!!
