Phoenix Sully Harbert

Phoenix Sully Harbert, age 16, of Westminster, South Carolina, passed away on August 23, 2025, at his residence.

Born in Seneca, South Carolina, Phoenix was the beloved son of David Wayne and Nicole Danielle Ramirez Harbert. A junior at West Oak High School, Phoenix lived with a passion for creativity, music, and people. He was a shining light in the Chorus Department, where his talent and spirit inspired his classmates and teachers alike. A gifted singer, guitarist, and pianist, Phoenix filled rooms with melody and joy, using his music to connect with others and express the depth of his heart.

In addition to music, Phoenix had a keen eye for beauty as a talented photographer, capturing moments in ways that revealed his artistic soul. He enjoyed writing music and pouring his creativity into everything he touched. Outside of his studies, he worked as a cashier at Walmart, where his friendly smile and uplifting energy touched the lives of many.

Phoenix's love extended beyond his passions-he was the kind of person who brightened every room he entered. He is remembered as the "light of the room," someone whose laughter, kindness, and good heart lifted the spirits of those around him.

He is survived by his loving parents; siblings, Katie Harbert (Brian Miles) of Seneca, Alexis Harbert of Seneca, and Kaiden Harbert (Alana Grant) of Westminster; and his nieces and nephews, Colby, Ryleigh, Karra, and Carlee. He also leaves behind grandparents, Joan Addis, Henry Ramirez (Diane Spoon), David Harbert Sr. (Charline), and Susan Turner (and the late Gary); his girlfriend, Marissa Frye, along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Though his life ended far too soon, Phoenix's legacy of love, music, and light will continue to inspire all who knew him. His voice and his spirit live on in the lives he touched, reminding us to love deeply, live fully, and let our light shine.
