Phyllis was born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana, where she retired as a nurse for over thirty years. She passed away suddenly with family by her side at the age of 62, after a long battle with illness. She could always make you laugh and was very outspoken; a firecracker at times, she always spoke her mind. She was a fun-loving soul with a big heart, who was loved by many. Her passion was her three grandchildren, she loved drinking coffee, listening to Elvis, eating watermelon and going to garage sales. She had such a beautiful heart and was a loving wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and friend.
Phyllis is survived by her husband, Albert "Joe" Carlisle, who was the love of her life; her two children, Johnathan Campbell and Hannah Grant and son-in-law, Michael Grant Sr.; her three grandchildren who were her pride and joy, Michael "Mike" Grant, Jayden Grant, and Audrey Grant; her mother, Carolyn Ebey Davis and Don Davis, three sisters, Tammy Roberts and husband Mark Roberts, Twyla Daugherty and husband Steve Daugherty, and Paula Martin husband and Troy Martin; her lifelong soul sister, Traci Johnson; her "number one" aunt, Patsy Hines; uncle, Rusty Ebey; niece, Kendall Roberts; and nephews, Joshua Field, Caleb Martin, and Noah Martin. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Audrey Bess Ebey; grandfather, William Ebey; and her father, Quinton "Darrell" Brock. She will be missed dearly by all who loved her.
