Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home & Crematory - Cuyahoga FallsPhyllis Glenny, 63, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away peacefully on Aug 15, 2025. She was born on April 24, 1962, and lived a life full of love, laughter, and devotion to her family.
Phyllis proudly served the community as a Cuyahoga Falls School bus driver for 21 years, safely transporting generations of children to and from school. She will be remembered not only for her work but also for her kind heart, warm smile, and the joy she brought to those around her.
Outside of her work, Phyllis cherished time spent camping, boating, enjoying family gatherings and being an avid Cleveland sports fan. Pool parties, cookouts, and time with her grandchildren were some of her happiest moments. Her love for family was the center of her life.
She is survived by her devoted husband and best friend of 44 years, Mark Glenny; her children, Jennifer (Dennis) Maurer and Justin (Alyssa) Glenny; her beloved grandchildren, Preston Glenny and Cameron Maurer; and her siblings, Patricia Lee and John Johnson.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents John and Jacqueline Johnson and sister, Linda Townsend.
Family and friends will forever remember her as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her legacy of love and togetherness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 12pm to 4pm at the Crooked River Room located in the Portage Crossing Market District. All who knew and loved Phyllis are welcome as we gather to honor her memory and share in the joy she brought to our lives.
Cremation has taken place and there will be a private family service at a later date.
