Eddie Wayne Glenny, 79, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2024, in Roswell, NM. Please take a moment and share a kind thought or memory with Eddie's family at www.andersonbethany.com.
A Viewing will be held for Eddie at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home and Crematory on Friday, December 13, 2024, from 9 am to 8 pm. There will be a Graveside Service held at South Park Cemetery on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 9 am with Timothy Foster officiating.
On June 23, 1945, Eddie Wayne Glenny was born to Ervin Latson Glenny and Susie Ethel Hawkins Glenny in Roswell, New Mexico. He attended Dexter High School, where he graduated. He enlisted in the United States Army. During his time in the Army, he was issued the Good Conduct Medal and clerk typist award. He married Suela Gayle Green On April 16, 1965, in Roswell, New Mexico. He was a member of Word of God church and continued his membership online after moving back to Roswell. Prior to retirement he was the manager at ITT - Gouls Pump in Lake Mary, Florida. He was a fan of Notre Dame football, Nascar racing, especially Dale Earnhardt, Sr, and was an avid golfer. Eddie will be missed by his friends and family.
Those left to eternally treasure and cherish memories of Eddie are his wife Suela Gayle Green Glenny; children: Eddie Wayne Glenny Jr. (Lynette Kathlene Lay Glenny), Shawn (Sean) Michael Glenny, and Thomas Christopher Glenny; grandchildren: Dylan Conner Glenny, Colin Davis Glenny, Caitlin Delainey Glenny, Madigan Mackenzie Glenny, Tiernan Isobel Glenny, Tyler Downing Glenny, Evan Taylor Glenny and Kennedy Denise Glenny; great grandchildren: Noah Michole Baldwin-Glenny, Anakin Wayne Baldwin-Glenny, Kerrigan Joy Baldwin-Glenny, Ellison Joylynn Glenny, Rowdy Thomas Hudson, and Baby Glenny arriving March 2025; brother-in-law, Albert Ralph Green Jr.; sister-in-law, Margaret Nell Glenny; numerous nieces and nephews; and pets: Tony Wayne, Sixander, Batman, and Gypsy Moon.
Eddie is preceded in death by his parents: Ervin Latson Glenny and Susie Ethel Hawkins Glenny; grandparents: Charles Efram Glenny and Pairlee Taylor Glenny; siblings: Latson Lee Davis Glenny, Robert Vernie Glenny and Ruby Mildred Glenny Jackson.
Eddie's tribute was written in his honor by his family.
