Phyllis Joann (nee Cain) Lanham, 90, of Eastlake, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2025, at her home.
She was born on March 16, 1935, in Wise County, Virginia, grew up in West Virginia, and moved to Cleveland at the age of 16 and made her home in Eastlake for the past 74 years.
Phyllis was a lifetime member of a VFW post in W. Virginia. She loved going to the movies, the pool and her hanging plants. A coal miner's daughter, Phyllis knew people everywhere she went. Phyllis worked at Laurelwood for 15 years before her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with all her grandchildren, who she loved dearly.
She was the loving mother of Linda Kay (David) McGrath and Deborah A. Williams; cherished grandmother of Melanie, Cody and Randy; sister of Billy (Sharon) Cain, Stevie (Carolyn) Cain, Jeannie Morris and Carol Lawson; sister-in-law of Loretta Cain and Annyce McCann and aunt of many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Patrick E. Lanham; and siblings, Jimmy, Bobby and Dean Cain.
A Celebration of Life for Phyllis will be held at a later date.
