Phyllis Theresa (Riley) Rollo, 95, a longtime resident of Dracut, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at D'Youville Senior Care surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late William "Bill" Rollo with whom she shared 64 years of marriage until his passing in 2014.
Phyllis was born in Lowell on September 4, 1929, and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Theresa (Lovell) Riley.
Phyllis was a graduate of Lowell High school and a 2nd Lt. in the Girls Officers Regiment. Phyllis was accepted in the Class of Student Nurses at the Massachusetts Memorial Hospital in Boston. She attended Nursing School for one year and upon Bill's discharge from the Navy she chose to withdraw from school to marry her childhood sweetheart and the love of her life. Never forgetting her dream of being a nurse, and with the encouragement of her husband, many years later, Phyllis enrolled in the Greater Lowell Regional Vocational Technical School in the Practical Nurse Program. Phyllis graduated in June 1982. She worked at Lowell General Hospital and Chelmsford Medical Associates.
"Phyll and Bill" moved to Dracut in 1955 where they raised their family. She loved walking, reading, dancing, listening to music, traveling, and making puzzles. She also loved spending summers in Dennis Port on the Cape and wintering in Pompano Beach, Florida but most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Phyllis leaves her children, daughter Geralynne Beaudry and her husband Arthur of Somersworth NH, son Steven Rollo of Dracut, and daughter- in- law Michelle Rollo of Fleming Island, FL.
Phyllis also leaves behind 9 grandchildren of which she was extremely proud and loved dearly, William Rollo and his wife Dorothy, Brian Beaudry and his wife Laura, David Rollo and his wife Jenn, Aaron Beaudry and his wife Gina, Christopher Rollo, Michael Rollo and his wife April, Catherine Kath and her husband Tyler, Sean Rollo and his wife Colleen, and Stephanie Rollo. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren who she adored, Grace, Robyn, Abby, Amanda, Autumn, Alexi, Avery, Ashton, Ayla Riley, Elyse, and Thomas Baker, a great great grandchild Mateo and niece Linda Pappas.
In addition to her loving husband, she is predeceased by her son, William Jr., and her daughters-in-law Elaine Rollo and Cheryl Ann Rollo, and her niece Susan Cusick.
The Family would like to thank the staff at D'Youville Senior Care for all the kindness and patience they showed Phyllis and her family and an extra special recognition and thank you to staff members, Dawn, Kelly, Diana, and Chaplain Steve and Chaplain Debbie.
Memorial donations may be made in her name to Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011 Washington DC 20090-6011 or www.alzmass.org.

I haven´t seen Phyllis in quite some time... I was thinking of her and decided to look her up. I was her hairstylist for many years. I loved Phylis´s and all her stories of her past "adventures". She really did live a beautiful life, she ALWAYS had a positive attitude and was thankful for what she had. I´m honored to be able to say she was part of my life. May she rest in eternal peace.
