Phyllis (Sarver) Schott was born to Glenn and Margaret (Donner) Sarver on September 6, 1933, in Berlin, PA. She graduated from Berlin Brothers Valley High School in 1951 and Altoona School of Commerce in 1952. Upon graduation she worked for the Department of the Navy in Washington, D.C.
She met Walter Schott on a blind date in 1957 while he was stationed in the Army at Fort Belvoir Virginia. They were married on July 5, 1958, in Berlin, PA.
In 1960, they moved to Aberdeen, SD where she spent her early married life raising her four children. In 1978, she began working for Sunset Memorial Gardens. After 45 years, they retired from the bee business. Phyllis was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church for over 50 years and was very involved with the Mat Ladies and counting the offerings.
Phyllis enjoyed baking, reading, doing puzzles, playing cards with her Card Club Friends, and she was an avid football fan; loving the Steelers and the Vikings. Her favorite past time was to spend time with her kids and grandkids.
