Phyllis Snyder

Phyllis Snyder passed away peacefully at home on May 2, 2022 after a 10 year bout with cancer. Her faith, strength, and courage in fighting this horrible disease was admirable and an inspiration to many. She was born on February 2, 1945 in Newport News, Virginia to Charles and Edna Sweeney. Those mourning her passing include her husband, Richard, of 55 years; her children, Tina Gustin, Michael Snyder, Bryce (Christine) Snyder; nine grandchildren: Grant, Tyler, Emma Grace, Zoe, Maya, Eden, Ripley, and Jamison; and one great-grandchild, Juniper. Phyllis belonged to the Community Church in Tellico Village and served on the Women's Ministry and was a member of the Church Choir. Phyllis went back to college and received a degree in Dental Hygiene and practiced until 2001, when she retired. She and Richard then moved to Tellico Village. Phyllis enjoyed friends, needlepoint, scrapbooking, golf, and travel. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on June 26th at the Community Church in Tellico Village.
