Phyllis Marie Vuolo

Phyllis Marie Moore Vuolo, 84, of 96 Herbert Hill Dr., Timberlake, died Sunday, July 13, 2025. Born in Durham County. Mrs. Vuolo was the daughter of the late Fred Haywood and Dessie Glena Pulley Moore. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Fred Haywood Moore, Jr., Ronald Moore and Donald Moore; her sister, Sherland Ann Blackman and grandson, Keith Allan Wright. Mrs. Vuolo retired from banking and was a member of the Ridgecrest Baptist Church.

Mrs. Vuolo is survived by her husband, Frank Anthony Vuolo; two daughters, Debra Marie Wright (Greg), of Strasburg, VA and Dawn Marie Perkins (Gary), of Roxboro; one brother, Tony Moore (Olivia); three grandchildren, Stasia Lane (Ryan), Austin Perkins (Abby) and Tyler Perkins (Falon); eight great-grandchildren; three sister-in-law's, Dorothy Moore, Elizabeth Moore and Susan Moore.

Phyllis lived a life full of love, laughter, and purpose. She was a devoted wife, a nurturing mother and grandmother, a loyal friend and a women who never hesitated to speak her truth. Her spirit was strong, her heart was generous, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 11:30am at the Brooks & White Chapel by the Rev. John Pritchard. Burial will follow in Person Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11-11:30AM prior to the service.
