Preston Owen Kimbrough

Preston Owen Kimbrough, 63, of Phenix City, AL died peacefully surrounded by his family while at Columbus Hospice House, Columbus, GA on Tuesday, December 5, 2023.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at 11:00AM (EST) on Saturday, December 9, 2023 in the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL with Rev. Donnie Lumpkin officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour at the funeral home on Saturday.
Mr. Kimbrough was born May 5, 1960 in Columbus, OH son of the late Freeman Kimbrough and Mattie Black Kimbrough. He was a salesman for McGuire Buildings for many years helping untold numbers of people improve their properties. Preston loved people and engaging them in conversations. It seemed he never met a stranger and almost everyone in our community knew who he was. His family was his priority, especially his precious granddaughter, Rhea. She was his world when they were together. He will be missed in our daily routine, but he will always be a sweet memory in our hearts.
Mr. Kimbrough was preceded in death by his parents, Freeman and Mattie Kimbrough.
Survivors include his wife, Debra Carden Kimbrough; son, Preston Tyler Kimbrough (Jenna); granddaughter, Rhea Kimbrough; sister-in-law, Billie Jean Hutto; niece, Nikki Storey and nephew, William Bruce Hutto (Hollie); several great-nieces and great-nephews as well as other family members.
