Preston was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Thomas and Artiemae Wood; his maternal grandparents, Joe and Robbie Blackwell; and a precious grandbaby, Braxton Wood.
A beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Preston found joy in life's simple pleasures. He was often seen riding his motorcycle or playing pool, always embracing the moment. Known for his warm spirit and infectious laughter, Preston had a gift for making people smile-always ready with a joke.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 38 years, Patsy Wood; his children, Holly Lyons (Anthony), Derek Wood (Lauren), and Trent Wood (Kayla); and his cherished grandchildren, Lexie Smith, Mason Smith, Hayden Wood, Kaden Wood, and Madilynn Wood.
He is also survived by his parents, Preston Wood and Elsie Dickert, and his siblings, Toby Wood, Sherry Dyer, Sarah Wood, Austin Wood, and Michael Dickert.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
