Priscilla Hicks Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ellis Funeral Home - Muleshoe on Oct. 3, 2024.
Priscilla Hicks, age 82, of Lubbock, Texas, died Wednesday, October 2, 2024 in Lubbock. She was born June 13, 1942 in Tahoka, Texas to John and Vera (James) Inman. She married Gary Hicks in Muleshoe on August 20, 1960.
Priscilla became a nurse after the death of her husband. She was very proud of the profession that she pursued after the age of 40. She never met a stranger and was always singing and humming. Priscilla loved to serve others with a song in her heart. She loved to talk and laugh. Her faith was huge, but after God, her family came first. Priscilla was Nana to all of her grands and great-grands. She was an avid Texas Tech football fan, as well as the Kansas City Chiefs. Priscilla was a Facebook fanatic too. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Friona. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gary; her parents; and a sister, Pat Halsell.
Priscilla is survived by her son, Scott Hicks and his wife, Tiffany of Lubbock, Texas; her two daughters, RayAnn Benedict and her husband, Ross of Alberta, Canada and Chantelle Julian and her husband, Scott of Chocktaw, Oklahoma; a sister, Ira Lea Puckett and her husband, Eddie of Sweetwater, Texas; her six grandchildren, Heather Seutter and her husband, Philip, Stephanie Fakner and her husband, Micha, John Ross Benedict and his wife, Joelle, Katlyn Hicks, Gentry Hicks and Avery Hicks and her nine great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be sent to Yesterday's Gone, 2800 East Whitestone Blvd., Suite 120, PMB 163, Cedar Park, Texas, 78613.
