Priscilla Jones

Priscilla Jones, 67, of Manchester, MD, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 12,
2025, surrounded by her family. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and
dear friend to many.
Priscilla was born on September 14, 1957, in Baltimore, MD, to the late William O. Horney Jr.
and Katherine Cragg Horney. She cherished the memories of working at her father's hardware
store, Horney's Hardware, often running to Lexington Market to pick up lunch for them. She
also fondly recalled visiting Hutzler's Department Store with her mother during the Christmas
season.
After graduating from Catonsville High School and working for several years, she earned an
associate degree from Carroll Community College. She dedicated 31 years of hard work and
loyalty to Carroll Hospital Center, where she built a meaningful career and lasting friendships.
Priscilla was a devoted wife to her husband of 42 years, Mark, and a loving mother to her
children, Mark Jr., Annie, and Matthew.
Her family was her greatest source of joy, and she especially treasured being a grandmother. She
found immense happiness in making precious memories and spending quality time with her
grandchildren, Henry and Emma. She was overjoyed to be expecting the arrival of her third
grandchild in August of this year.
She found comfort in watching cozy Hallmark movies, enjoyed attending numerous Vince Gill
concerts with her lifelong friend, Cindy, and always eagerly anticipated spending vacations with
her extended family at the beaches in Delaware.
She is survived by her husband, Mark Jones Sr., of Manchester, MD; her son, Mark Jones Jr.,
and his wife, Lauren, of Westminster, MD; her daughter, Annie Jones, of Manchester, MD; her
son, Matthew Jones, of Manchester, MD; and her grandchildren, Henry and Emma.
She is also survived by her brother, Jack Horney, and his wife, Peggy, of Mahwah, NJ, and her
brother, Bill Horney, and his wife, Donna, of Easton, MD, sister-in-law, Marla Mammarella of
St. Augustine, FL. Her nieces, Lindsey, Kylie, and Brooke, and her nephews, Tyler and Jacob.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 9th at Eline Funeral Home, 934 South
Main Street, Hampstead, MD.. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until the beginning
of the memorial service at 3:00 p.m.
