Priscilla “Dee Dee” (Pacula) O’Neill, age 80, a long-time resident of the Highlands section of Lowell and recently of Pelham, NH, died on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late John Joseph “Jack” O’Neill, Jr., with whom she was married to for 43 years until his passing in 2010.
Born in Lowell on December 27, 1944, the daughter of the late Sophie Catherine (Wojkowski) and Edward Marion Pacula. Priscilla attended St. Stanilaus in Lowell and was a graduate of Lowell High School, Class of 1962.
In the 1980’s and early 1990’s, she worked for Wang Laboratories and later transitioned to Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union in the consumer lending department, where she retired from in 2007.
For a few years during the late 1970’s, Jack and Dee Dee took proprietorship of Kennedy’s Butter & Egg Store in Lowell, which they took great pride in.
Priscilla was an avid reader and enjoyed movies. Above all, she was a devoted mother and a grandmother all about her grandkids. A family tradition, where her presence will be missed, was every Christmas season the ladies of the family would make homemade pierogi (by the hundreds.)
Priscilla is survived by her two daughters, Karen Ann McKenna and her husband, John William of Manchester, NH and Kathryn Ann “Kate” Dame and her husband Edward James of Pelham, NH; her two sons, Sean Patrick O’Neill of Abington, MA and Michael John O’Neill and his fiancée, Angela Lanier Dunn of Brookfield, MA; her five grandchildren, Faith Caroline Dame and her fiancé, Trevor Polleck, Tanner Michael O’Neill, Paige Catherine Dame, Trevor Edward Dame and Areeya Priscilla O’Neill; her sisters (who were her best friends,) Janet Vezina and Mary-Anne Pitsios and her husband, Phillip; her sister-in-law, Dolores “Dolly” Labrecque; her brother-in-law, Richard Abraham; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and close childhood friends.
She is predeceased by her brother, Edward J. Pacula, her sister-in-law, Paula Faith (O’Neill) Abraham and her brother-in-law, William A. Vezina.
Relatives and friends are invited to Priscilla’s Life Celebration to be held at the MOUNT PLEASANT GOLF CLUB, 141 Staples Street, Lowell on Sunday, April 27, 2025 from 3 until 7 PM. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 28, 2025 at 10 AM in St. Rita’s Church, Lowell. Burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Priscilla’s memory to the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua, One Positive Place, Nashua, NH 03060.
