It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing away of Purity Muthoni Kahuki of Foxboro, MA 02035. Purity passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Brigham and Women's Hospital.
She was born on March 3, 1979, in Nairobi, Kenya to Stephen and Minnie Kahuki. She was married to her best friend and loving husband of 20 years, Joel Muhoro. Her family was her greatest joy and she was a devoted mother to her three children- Ninette, Brennan and Ainsley Muhoro. She was a beloved sister to Ann, Faith, Charity and Esther Kahuki.
A woman of deep and abiding faith, Purity was a born-again Christian and a dedicated member of the Church of Emmanuel in Foxboro, MA, where she volunteered in many roles. Throughout her adult life, she volunteered in many roles in the Churches where she fellowshipped – from working with Sunday School to ushering.
Purity excelled professionally as Finance manager at Cambridge HealthTech Institute in Needham where she worked for 20 years. Purity's professionalism, integrity and warmth touched everyone who had the privilege of working with her. She completed a BS in Accounting at University of Massachusetts, Boston, and an MBA in Accounting at Annamaria College, Paxton, MA. She attended elementary and high school in Nairobi, Kenya.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at The Church of Emmanuel, located at 106 Central Street, Foxborough, MA at 3:00pm-6:00pm. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 10:00am at The Church of Emmanuel and thereafter internment at Rock Hill Cemetery in Foxboro, MA.
