Rachel Gray Obituary
Rachel was born on August 11, 1960 in Newport, VT to Clayton and Earline (Lyon) Gray. She was raised on a small farm with four brothers. Rachel graduated from North Country Union High School in 1978.
Rachel has two biological children, Augusta Brault and Colton White. She also helped raise and loved four step-children, Derrek White, Desiree White, Tina Labbre, and Bryan White. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy.
Rachel drove the school bus for many years. In her free time she loved to garden, explore nature, and be with the people she loved. Rachel had a heart of gold and did what she could to help others. She will be remembered for her sassy, fearless, gentle heart.
A visitation will be held on October 18, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Life in Christ Fellowship in Newport, VT. A memorial service will begin at 3:00pm. Food will follow upstairs. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Rachel, please visit our floral store.

Rachel, you were the best! What a friendship we had as teenagers. I shall never forget the freedom of country girl teenagers hiking the hillside of Dane Hill. We walked and talked and rode bicycles together. We talked of the future and dreams of tomorrow. Oh, how we laughed so at times. Do you remember hiking up to the hidden summer home that had a private swimming pond? Yes, we swam with delight even though it was no trespassing. Laughter filled our lives. Thank you for being such a great friend. I will never forget you. Our paths will meet again, and we shall walk side by side and laugh till our bellies roll.
