Rachel Staton Reynolds, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, went home to be with the Lord on February 7, 2025, at the Solace Center in Asheville, NC. Born to the late Frank and Hattie Lytle Staton on December 27, 1941, in Henderson County, NC, she was 83 years old at the time of her passing.
Rachel was a devoted member of Liberty Baptist Church, where she found solace and community throughout her life. Her hands were rarely still, as she had a passion for crochet and painting, creating beautiful works that brought joy to her family and friends. Rachel cherished spending time with her loved ones, always staying busy and involved in their lives.
She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Douglas Eugene Reynolds; her son, Douglas Eugene Reynolds II (and his wife Melinda); and her cherished grandchildren, Samuel (and his wife Maddy), Travis, and Stephen Reynolds. She also leaves behind a dear great-granddaughter, Medley Reynolds, along with many nieces and nephews who will fondly remember her.
A service to honor Rachel's life will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Church Street Funeral & Cremation. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service, followed by a graveside ceremony at Shepherd Memorial Park. The service will be officiated by Reverend Robert Garren.
