Rae Lynn Major passed away at home on September 16, 2025, just 11 days shy of 65 years old.

Rae was born in Michigan on September 26, 1960 to Dolores and Raymond Vandenbussche. She enjoyed time with six siblings: Kim, Kelly, Kris, Kevin, Curt, and Craig.

Rae welcomed two sons and willingly embraced her role as a mother to Justin and Joshua. Her two boys were her entire world and she always made sure they had everything they needed and wanted. Even when times were tough and she couldn't afford to, she found ways to make it work for her kids. This sentiment extended to her grandchildren Nova and Skylar, whom she deeply loved.

Rae had lived in the Zephyrhills and Dade City area of Florida, as well as Warren, Michigan. Here, she made so many friends that would be impossible to even try to name. Her smile and personality would lift your spirits and brighten your day.

She worked in the hospitality industry, but her passion truly came in the last 20 years. Between Michigan and Florida, she was heavily involved with the VFW. Either through her angelic voice on the mic, making sure everyone was served as a bartender, or her volunteer work helping veterans with various problems.
Rae is survived by her two sons Justin (Diane) & Joshua (Sarah); her siblings Kim (Barry), Kris (Paul), Kevin, & Curt (Kammy); her grandchildren Nova and Skylar; and her beautiful array of all she served and befriended.

She is predeceased by her siblings Kelly and Craig.

Rae is survived by all of your wonderful memories of her.
