Born and raised in Philadelphia, Ralph was the cherished son of the late Ralph Sr. and Margaret Costello.
Ralph was the beloved husband of Eddy, with whom he shared over 11 wonderful years of marriage. He was a devoted father to Sandra and Ron, and a proud grandfather to Audria Reece, Jama Caldwell, Andrea Overbay, Iris Costello, and Vinny Costello. He will also be deeply missed by his great-grandchildren Cody and Caleb Bennett, Collin Pennington, and Crystal Harris; his great-great-granddaughter, Adalyn Bennett; his sister Elaine; his brother Paul; his step-children Lucia and Jose Morabito; and his many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Ralph was preceded in death by his sister, Julie.
A retired computer engineer, Ralph dedicated his entire career to Unisys. He also served his country with honor in the United States Army.
Ralph found joy in life's simple pleasures. He had a lifelong passion for music and could often be found playing the drums, bass, and keyboards. A gifted linguist, he spoke four languages and loved connecting with people from all walks of life. He was a proud member of the Cuban Club of Philadelphia and enjoyed traveling throughout Europe, but was happiest each time he visited France. Most of all, Ralph treasured every moment spent with his family, who were the center of his world.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Ralph's life on Wednesday, September 17th, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the John F. Givnish Funeral Home, 10975 Academy Road, Philadelphia, followed by a reception. Interment will take place at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA, on Friday, September 19th, at 10:30 AM.
