Ralph E. Epley, 72, of Evansville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at the Heart to Heart Hospice House surrounded by his family.
Ralph was born on July 16, 1952, in Evansville to the late James G., Sr. and Winona (Crane) Epley. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy Seabees and worked as an electrician and was a member of IBEW Local 16 and also the West Side Nut Club. Ralph enjoyed spending any time he could with his grandchildren, watching the birds, and watching his neighbors train horses across the street.
Surviving Ralph are his wife of 54 years, Connie (Coomes) Epley; his children and their spouses, Chad and Heather Epley, Craig and Amy Epley and Kate and Derek Moore; a sister, Donna (George) Sims; brothers, Wayne (Debbie) Epley and Steve (Lisa) Epley; grandchildren, Zeke, Connor, and Xavier Epley, Brennan, Ava, and Elle Epley, and Kasen and Quinton Moore, and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving Ralph are his sisters-in-law, Jean Derks, Peg (Steve) Braun, Chris (Dale) Hobbs and brother-in-law, Tim (Peggy) Coomes.
In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael and James Epley and by a sister-in-law, Sarah Gilles.
There will be a celebration of Ralph's life held at a later date.
Ralph's family would like to thank everyone who visited consistently during the year of his difficult journey. Your visits provided comfort and relief to Ralph and Connie.
