Ralph F. Hoernke, 85, of Carlsbad, CA, passed away on April 3, 2024. Our beloved husband, father, brother, and grandpa is now with our heavenly Father. Ralph was born in Milwaukee and lived in the area until 1979, when he moved to Carlsbad. Ralph served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Kentucky. In Wisconsin, Ralph worked at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, while in California, Ralph owned Mission Bowl, and later, Sharon's restaurant. Ralph was loved by all who knew him. He loved spending time with his family, working in his yard and renovating his home. Ralph, along with his wife, Judy, enjoyed spending summers at Judy's childhood home in South Range and at the family lake house in Twin Lakes. Ralph is survived by his children Scott (Angela) Hoernke of Clifton, VA and Shana Hoernke of Carlsbad, CA; his grandchildren, Jason Hoernke and Ciara Hoernke. Ralph was preceded in death by his father William, mother Francis; sisters, Alice Kopczynski and Martha Brandenburg; brother, Roy Hoernke, and his beloved wife of 60 years, Judith Aho Hoernke. A graveside blessing for Ralph will be held at 10am on Friday, August 2, 2024, in the Mt. View Cemetery with Fr. John Martignon to officiate.
