Ralph, known as Joe to his friends and family and "P" to his grandchildren moved on from this life peacefully at home in Cortez, Fl accompanied by his loving wife and companion of 55 years Doreen (Shea) Marchetti. Joe was the son of the late Ralph Marchetti Sr and Catherine (Saulnier) Marchetti. He was the brother of the late Robert Marchetti and Catherine Marchetti. Joe is survived by Doreen, their children Joseph Marchetti and his wife Jennefer, Kara Valentine and her husband Michael, Jeremy Marchetti and his partner Casey Winslow and Jeffrey Marchetti and his wife Michelle; his siblings Patricia Crocker, Stephen Marchetti and Barbara Cassidy; his grandchildren Christian, Samantha, Kiera, Marrissa, Gabrielle, Elek, Isabella, Victoria, Madison, Emma, and Shea; his great grandchildren Rylee, Isla, Paisley, Mykel and Marlee.
Joe was a long-time employee at Ames Safety Envelope in Somerville, MA where his first assignment was sweeping floors. Through hard work and dedication to the company, Joe would move up through the ranks at Ames holding many management positions and ending his career as a Vice President. During his climb through the ranks Joe never forgot where he started. He worked to ensure that all Ames employees received the pay and benefits that they deserved.
After completing his career at Ames, Joe would go on to join Doreen in her goal to be of service to those in need. Together they would be certified in the energy healing practice of Reiki, hypnosis and become certified Life Coaches.
Joe was a caring and empathetic man that would drop whatever he was doing to help a friend or loved one in need. In addition to his loving nature, he will be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor which will live on with future generations through memories and the compilation compact discs featuring Dr. Demento that he recorded and shared with his grandchildren.
Joe's children will fondly remember their dad for his constant love and support but most especially for milestones that he shared with them which include watching him hold their children for the first time, walking Kara down the aisle at her wedding to Michael, climbing Mt. Madison, Mt. Washington and Mt. Greylock with his sons and grandson Christian. Joe's grandchildren were blessed to experience his cheerful and supportive personality. They would stand in awe as each time they would end a visit "P" would transform his hand into a dollar dispensing machine complete with functional buttons and levers. An unsuccessful attempt to work the dollar machine would elicit Joe's favorite Yoda quote, "Do or do not, there is no try." A successful attempt would prompt "P's" signature thumbs up.
