Ralph W. McCormick

Ralph W. "Mac" McCormick, age 89, a resident of Greenwood, Indiana, passed away on January 26, 2025. Born on November 21, 1935, and raised in Omer, MI by his parents, the late O. E. and Ruth McCormick.
Mac is survived by his cherished wife of 62 years, Patricia McCormick, and his devoted sons, Michael (Kelly) and Steven (Jo Ellen) McCormick. He adored his four loving grandchildren, Cale, Katie, Tori, and Luke. Mac was preceded in death by his daughter, Lynn McCormick, his sister, Marie Schutte, and his brother, Bill McCormick.
An alumnus of the University of Michigan, where Mac was proud to have earned his bachelor's degree in engineering and master's degree in business before embarking on a successful entrepreneurial journey. In 1980, he founded McCormick Associates, a software company serving the transportation industry, which prospered under his caring leadership. Throughout his career, he maintained a passion for innovation and a commitment to excellence.
Mac's love for life extended to his hobbies as well. He was a golfer, an avid fisherman, and an enthusiastic supporter of University of Michigan. Mac's strong faith was an integral part of his life, and he was a respected member of Southport Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis.
Mac's memory will be treasured by his extended family, his friends, and the many lives he touched.
A memorial service will be held for Mac at Southport Presbyterian Church on February 22 at 3:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 1:00, and there will be a remembrance dinner following the service.
