Ralph Perez Obituary

He is the second eldest of his eleven other siblings. They were a musical family, everyone playing an instrument. Ralph played the violin, guitar and piano. They would play on the Plaza as their father sold homemade tortillas. Ralph was very musically inclined, playing music by ear.
During one of their many concerts on the Plaza he noticed this beautiful lady kept coming to see him play. Her name was Aurora. He and Aurora Banda were married in Kansas City, Kansas on August 4, 1945. She preceded him in death on June 12, 2023.
Ralph is a veteran of the United States Army, serving his country during World War II.
Ralph continued with his love of music, playing for mass at church and the holidays. He also enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, but most of all enjoyed his time with his family. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 1894, Clinton, the Clinton Elks Lodge, #1034 and the Clinton Country Club.
Ralph and Aurora farmed in Ballard. They moved to Clinton and opened the A & R Western Wear and Ryder Truck rental in what is currently Mallards Roadhouse, previously Graffities Sports Bar.
Surviving are one daughter, Rosemary Teeman (Donald), Garden City, MO; one grandson, Aaron Perez, Montrose, MO; four great-grandsons, Carter Melchior, Prairie Village, Kansas, Carson Melchior, Olathe, KS, Aiden Perez, Montrose, MO and Adler Perez, Montrose, MO; two sisters, Teresa Canseco, Independence, MO and Rachel Olivarez (Paul), Shawnee Mission, KS; two brothers, Andrew Perez (Irene), North Kansas City, MO and Jesse Perez, Sr. (Mary Ester), Kansas City, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Aurora; parents; two sons, John Perez in 1965 and Ralph Perez, Jr. in 2006; four brothers, Humberto Perez, Ascension Perez, Peter Perez and Albert Perez; and two sisters, Rita Trible and Antonia Willfong.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 24, 2025 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. The rosary will be recited at 9:45 a.m., followed by visitation until 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Raytown, MO. Military services will be provided at the grave under the direction of the Missouri Army Funeral Honors. Condolences may be left online at www.bradleyhadley.com.
