KEOTA-Ralph Rammelsberg, age 73, of Keota, died Monday, November 13, 2023, at the Keokuk County Health Center in Sigourney.
Ralph was born November 7, 1950, in Cedar Rapids, and graduated from Jefferson High School. He served in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves for 23 years. Ralph was married several times, but most recently he married Patricia Bell in 2004. He lived in Washington and Coralville for many years before moving to Keota about eight years ago. Ralph worked as an assembler at Wal Mart. He attended the Good Neighbor Fellowship Church in Keota and enjoyed fishing, Facebook games and puzzles and spending time with his grandkids.
Survivors include his wife: Patricia of Keota; children: Elizabeth Hicks of Manchester, Connie (Adam) Schmidt of Pace, Florida, Kenny (Jheni) Rogers of Strawberry Point, Carrie (Justin) Milam of West Chester, Isaac Rammelsberg of Marion and Randy Rammelsberg of Cedar Rapids; 13 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son: Tommy; sister: Carroll Neilson and brothers: Junior, Randy, Albert and Clair Caldwell.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at Powell Funeral Home in Keota, with Pastor Doug Tinnes officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at the funeral home.
A general memorial fund has been established. Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Keota is caring for Ralph and his family. Tributes may be made at www.powellfuneralhomes.com.
