Ralph Richards Obituary
Ralph was born July 4, 1944, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Edmond and Olive (Anderson) Richards. He graduated from Roosevelt High School in St. Louis.
Ralph spent 45 years as an independent agent with Shield of Shelter Insurance from June 1967 to his retirement in June of 2012, beginning his career when Shelter was still MFA. He built lasting relationships with his clients and was well respected for his dedication and integrity throughout his long career.
He was a member of the Lions Club and enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and photography. Ralph appreciated working with his hands and capturing moments behind the lens, and he valued time spent outdoors.
He is survived by his daughters, Andrea Richards and Laura Albright; his granddaughter Alyson Jo Albright; his siblings, Sharon Courtney and Gary Richards; one niece, nephews and friends who will cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Robert Richards.
A memorial visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Monday, March 9, 2026, at Parker-Millard Funeral Service in Columbia, Missouri, with a memorial service beginning at 12:00 p.m.
