Mr. Ralph Dudley Stansell, age 81, of Lindale, passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at a local hospital.
Mr. Stansell was born in Rome, Georgia on April 12, 1944, son of the late Cliff Kelly Stansell and the late Dorothy Mae Gravitt Stansell. He was also preceded in death by his loving companion, Barbara Goss, and by a brother, Cliff Kelly Stansell, Jr. Mr. Stansell retired from General Electric in Rome following thirty plus years of service. He also drove a bus for Darlington School for twenty years. Mr. Stansell was a member of Four Mile Baptist Church in Summerville.
Survivors include two sons, Mike Stansell (Patti) and Lee Stansell; two granddaughters, Breanna Ramirez (Austin) and Jessica Henson (Richie); three great grandchildren; a brother, James "Butch" Stansell (Gayle); two sisters, Sherry Waldrop and Nancy Hayden; nieces & nephews; his extended family, Wanda Wilson (Tim), Jamie Holbrook (Gary) and Debbie Burke as well as their children and grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025, at 2pm in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, with Bro. Joel Smith and Bro. Doyle Kelley officiating. Interment will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Friday from 12pm until 1:45pm.
Pallbearers are asked to assemble at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Friday at 1:30pm and include Mike Stansell, Lee Stansell, Jaime Stansell, Tim Wilson, Jared Bearden, and Charlie Harless, Jr.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Four Mile Baptist Church, P. O. Box 528 Summerville, GA 30747.
