This early exposure to the wonders of nature instilled in him a lifelong passion for travel, particularly in the company of his wife in their various RVs. His love for woodworking was not only a hobby but also a way to express his creativity and craftsmanship. Ralph's gentle nature and polite demeanor earned him the nickname "The Gentle Giant" among his children's friends, a moniker that encapsulated his loving and friendly personality.
Ralph's love for the ocean was unmatched, and he spent many vacations with his family exploring the coastline, fostering a deep appreciation for nature's beauty in his children and grandchildren. His retreats to cabins in Idyllwild and Big Bear were cherished family traditions, providing a sanctuary for rest, relaxation, and quality time with loved ones.
