Ramon M. Gonzales Sr.

Ramon Martinez Gonzales Sr. went home to our Heavenly Father on Monday, January 22, 2024 at the age of 80 years old. Mr. Gonzales was born on July 18, 1943 in Mathis, Texas to Guadalupe and Silveria Martinez Gonzales. He was preceded in death by both of his Parents; Adoptive Mother, Antonia Acuña; 2 Daughters, Eva Gonzales Galvan, Silveria Gonzales Cantu; Sister, Emma Perez; Brothers, Ricardo Gonzales, Rito Acuña, Carlos Acuña, Crecensio Acuña; Mother in Law, Trinidad Garcia.
Left to cherish Mr. Gonzales' everlasting memory are: His loving wife of 61 years, Gloria T. Gonzales; Two Daughters, Cynthia Gonzales, Belinda (Jesse) Gomez; Son, Ramon Gonzales Jr.; his pride and joy are, Nine Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren; Sisters, Sofia Lopez, Conception Morales, Adela Alfaro, Juana Vallejo, Mary Ann Pena, Rosa Ortiz; Brothers, Guadalupe Gonzales Jr., Isaac Acuña, Jose Acuña, Jesus Acuña, Esteban Acuña, Leo Acuña, Guadalupe Acuña Jr.; Numerous Nieces and Nephews
Ramon served his Mathis community as a Volunteer Fire Fighter and did Wrecker Service for several years. He also had a passion for working on cars. Mr. Gonzales well known by many for owning and operating a Paint and Body/Mechanic shop.

Visitation will be at 2:00 pm and Prayer Service at 7:00 pm on Monday, January 29, 2024 at Dobie-Winsteads' Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 10:00am on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Templo Gethsemani followed by interment to Descanso Eterno II.
