Ramon Nicolasora age 85, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully January 29, 2024 at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was the loving widower of Carmen (Ancheta) Nicolasora.
Ramon was born August 09, 1938, in Capoocan-Leyte, Philippines, a son of the late Lorenzo and Pastora Nicolasora. He graduated from the University of the Philippines with a Bachelor of Science in Geodetic Engineering and Surveying. Ramon and Carmen married in 1967 in Cubao, Quezon City, immigrated to the United States in the early 1970's and became naturalized citizens in 1986 residing permanently in Waterbury, CT. Prior to retiring, Ramon began his career in 1969 at the University of the Philippines as an instructor for the Geodetic Engineering department and concluded his remaining 26 years working at ITT Cannon Sealectro in New Britain, CT as specifications engineer and quality assurance analyst. He enjoyed being with his grandchildren, playing chess, karaoke, ballroom dancing, ping pong, traveling, playing cards and mahjongg with his friends.
He leaves his children Marcel Nicolasora and his wife Tammy of Waterbury, Mildred Blazas and her husband George of Naugatuck, his grandchildren Brendan, Olivia and Alexa Blazas, Lorenzo, Samantha and Sophia Nicolasora.
Arrangements: A funeral mass will be celebrated on April 6th at 10 am at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception. Those planning to attend are asked to meet directly at church. Burial will follow at Lake Elise Cemetery in Middlebury. There are no calling hours. Chase Parkway Memorial/Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway is assisting his family with arrangements.
