Randall E. "Randy" Viehdorfer, 73, of Moshannon, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Friday, September 19, 2025, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Born on August 10, 1952, in Philipsburg, he was the son of the late Stanley M. and Mary K. (Kormanec) Viehdorfer. On November 5, 1971, he married the love of his life, Cheryl A. Watson, who survives him at home.

Randy was a 1970 graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School and completed the welding program at the Centre County Vocational Technical School. Always a hard worker, he held various jobs during high school before joining the operator's union, traveling extensively as a heavy equipment operator. Over two decades ago, he founded his own business, R&C Excavating, which he ran with pride and dedication.

Randy genuinely loved his work. Whether operating machinery or managing projects, his precision and enthusiasm were unmistakable. Though naturally quiet and private, he had a warm and social spirit that came alive among friends. He was a proud member of many local clubs, Clarence Moose, Clarence Democratic Club, Clarence American Legion, Snow Shoe VFW, Renovo Elks, and the Sons of Italy in Renovo.

He found joy in the outdoors, whether it be working or riding his side-by-side with family and friends.

Randy wore many titles-son, brother, husband, father, uncle-but his favorite was "grandfather." He may not have been openly affectionate with everyone, but his grandchildren always saw his softer side, and never once doubted his love.

In addition to his wife of nearly 54 years, Cheryl, Randy is survived by two daughters: Cristi Crestani (James) of Clarence and LeAnn Repasky (Gary) of Moshannon; four beloved grandchildren: Kayla (Michael), Jake, Raelee, and Lauren; one great-granddaughter, Sophie Ann; three siblings: Sandy Hall of Snow Shoe, Patrick Viehdorfer of Pine Glen, Denise Bucha (Ron) of Moshannon and brother-in-law Randy Watson of Lecontes Mills.

He was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws Gregg and Pearl Watson, and his brother-in-law, Donald Hall.

In keeping with Randy's wishes, no services will be held at this time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Legion/Snow Shoe VFW Honor Guard, c/o Clarence American Legion Post 813, 1171 Clarence Rd, Clarence, PA 16829 or to the Askey Cemetery Association, PO Box 38, Snow Shoe, PA 16874. As Randy would say, "If I don't die tonight, I will see you tomorrow."

Arrangements have been entrusted to Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, Inc in Snow Shoe, PA. An online guest book can be signed, or you may post your condolences to the family at www.daughenbaughfuneralhome.com
