Laurie K. Hancock, 63, of Bellefonte, passed away on Monday, August 4, 2025. Born in 1962, she was the daughter of the late

Ronald E. and Emilie K. Hancock. She is survived by her brother, Steve Hancock, sisters Lisa Mincemoyer and Ellen Johnson, and

brother-in-law Rick Johnson. She adored her niece and nephews: Laura Mincemoyer Chargualaf (Mike), Brenton Scott Mincemoyer, Tyler Hancock Rockey (Jacki Nikish), Scott W. Johnson (Joanna), and Eric W. Johnson (Kelsey), and was a proud Great Aunt to Emmett and Reina Johnson and Maya Chargualaf.

Following her graduation from Bellefonte Area High School in 1980, she worked for the Bellefonte Area School District in various administrative units until her retirement in 2012. She also worked part-time as an usher for the Bryce Jordan Center at Penn State, which gave her an opportunity to support her beloved Penn State basketball teams. She was also a life-long fan of Penn State football, the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers, and the New York Yankees. However, her favorite sports to watch and support were the ones her niece and nephews were involved in. Her family was the consistent focus of her life, including both the care given to her own cats and the cats and dogs of her entire family.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no visitation or service.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Cancer Society or local animal rescue organizations.
