It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved Starlene Hancock (Holt). Known to her family, and all who knew and loved her, as Star. She passed away on September 15th, 2025 at the age of fifty-seven due to stage four breast cancer at UC Davis Hospital in Sacramento, California. She was born on April 5th, 1968 in Las Vegas, Nevada, and later moved to Sacramento in 1971, then Paradise in 1979, and finally to Rio Linda in 1983, where she met Ronald Hancock. They both graduated in 1986 from Rio Linda High School, then married in Reno, Nevada with all of their family present. They lived in Rio Linda with their five children. Star loved her family, and loved visiting family outside of California. She loved arts and crafts, even crocheting, and knitting. She would make gifts for family and friends. Star is preceded in death by her Great Grandpa and Great Grandma Holt, her husband, Ronald Hancock, her Step-Father, Sidney Ray, her uncles, Raymond and Keith Stevens, Uncle Teddy Ray, Great Aunt Wanda, and Nephew Stephen Dahm. Star is survived by her five children, Matthew, Christopher, Ashley, Tiffany, and Victoria, her mother, Peggy Holt, her Grandma, Mary Dapprich, her sisters, Charlaine Holt, and Lisa Berghorst, aunts, Debby and Tammy Dapprich, Carol, Cindy, uncle Lester Stevens, Lester's sons, Augie and Andy, uncle Joey Dapprich, aunt Kay Dapprich, nephews, Anthony Dahm Jr., and Jayden McCorkle, niece Marissa Alger, and her husband, Jeffrey Alger, cousin Jeremy Dapprich, his wife, Megan Dapprich, uncle Keith Stevens' sons, Kyle and Jessie Stevens, brother-in-law, Paul McCorkle, her boyfriend, Joe, her and Joe's dogs, Chewy and Sady, whom she loved so much. There are so many more family and friends that will miss her. She will live on in our hearts forever. God bless you, Star.Star, we love you and we will miss you. May God keep you in the palm of his hands, safe and warm until we meet again.Love, Mom and Family. Star will be cremated and brought home.
