Randy Abney Obituary
Randy was born in Richmond, Kentucky on September 29, 1959, the son of the late Leonard and Joan Powell Abney. He attended Madison Central High School and was a professional cook working at various restaurants – he was most proud of his time working at Boone Tavern. Randy was also an avid reader and enjoyed collecting coins. He was a veteran and honorable served his country in the US Army.
Survivors include: his children, Jessica Cain, Christopher Abney, Jennifer Abney and Leonard "Frankie" Abney; one sister, Pati Goode; 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Eddie Goode.
Private family graveside services will be held at the Mallory Springs Cemetery in Red Lick.
The Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home, W. Main St., Richmond, is in charge of the arrangements.
