Mr. Randy Lavon Creed, 74, of Hutsonville, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Indiana following a falling accident in his home. He was born on January 31, 1950, in Terre Haute, Indiana, to Charles Creed and Betty Lou (Rich) Creed.
Randy proudly served in the U.S. Army for 19 months in Vietnam during the TET Offensive 1968 to 1970 and later spent 35 years as an over-the-road truck driver. He was a Master mason and dedicated member of the AF & AM Lodge #250 in Robinson, Illinois, as well as the Scottish Rite Bodies, Valley of Danville, and the AINAD Shrine Temple, Valley of St. Louis in Belleville, Illinois. Randy was awarded the Armed Forces Cross of Gallantry with one palm for his outstanding service to his Country in Vietnam.
He is survived by his daughter, Charlesey Wold of Hutsonville, Illinois; a granddaughter Briana (Michael) Dingmann of St. Cloud, Minnesota; and great-grandchildren Noah Dingmann, Zoey Dingmann, and Beau Dingmann. He was preceded in death by his parents and his only sibling, a sister, Toni Schrotborger.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Pulliam Funeral Home in Robinson, Illinois, with visitation preceding services from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. As a part of the service, the Robinson Masonic Lodge #250 will perform the traditional Masonic rites and ceremonies The combined units of E. M. Coulter Post #69, American Legion, VFW Post #4549, AMVETS Post #33 and Reavill Post #132, American legion will provide Military Funeral Rites at the funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Randy L. Creed Memorial Fund, with donation envelopes available at the funeral home.
Randy will be remembered for his dedication to family, his service to his country, and his unwavering brotherhood in the Masonic order. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
