Garry "Randy" R. English, age 73, of Prescott, MI., passed away peacefully on August 18, 2025, at his home with his wife and children. Randy was born on October 19, 1951, in Erwin, TN., to the late Arnold and Marie (Harding) English.
Randy's life was marked by dedication and love. Drafted into the United States Army, he honorably served his country and was discharged in 1972. In 1970, Randy married his high school sweetheart, Gail (Anthony), and together they raised two wonderful children. Randy dedicated 37 years of his career to GM, holding various positions and proudly belonging to the UAW. After retiring, he and Gail moved to their beautiful home in Prescott, which they built themselves.
Randy had a zest for life and a passion for the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and tinkering around the home. He found joy in feeding the deer that visited his property almost daily. Above all, Randy treasured the moments spent with his family, creating lasting memories.
Randy is survived by his wife, Gail; children, Jamie (Todd) Huddleston and Jay (Corrina) English; grandchildren, Troy, Jason, Jenah (Leon), Corinne, Thomas, Zane, McKinley and Jaydin; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Junebug, and Kayden, and several nieces and nephews, and his best buddies Jerry, Larry, and Billy.
Randy is preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
To honor Randy's memory, the family will hold services on Monday, August 25, 2025, at the Buresh Funeral Home in Prescott. Visitation will take place from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am. Interment will be at Flint Memorial Park.
Randy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and love that will continue to inspire us.
