Randy J. Jodoin March 20th, 1963 – May 19th, 2025
Loving Son, Brother, Dad, Grampy, and Friend - March 20, 1963 - May 19, 2025
Randy was born to Robert and Betty (Dubuque) Jodoin on March 20, 1963. He grew up in Essex Jct and attended Essex Schools. In 1987, he married Beth White of Waterbury Center. They lived in Grand Isle, and he worked at Shelburne Industries, operating presses that made cup hooks for 7 years. From there, they moved to Waterbury Center, and he went to work at Ben & Jerry's Factory, working 3rd shift. He worked at Ben & Jerry's for 32 years. Years later, they divorced, and Randy moved back to Waterbury Center.
He loved the 3rd shift schedule because it allowed him to thoroughly enjoy his hobbies of fishing just about year-round and hunting just about every season! He has many mounts and could always tell a good hunting or fishing story. He enjoyed many days out with his friends, enjoying the beautiful surroundings from the reservoirs to the woods. He loved playing horseshoes and sitting out on his deck. He was always very proud of his vegetable gardens, flowers, and fruit bushes. he loved to go pedal biking with his daughters back in the day and always enjoyed camping. He was also very fond of his dog Jake. When Jake was alive, he would go everywhere with Dad, walks, car rides, swimming, and boating.
Randy had struggled with Parkinson's disease with advanced dementia. As time passed, these things became much more difficult to do, which was a very difficult process to work through and accept for him, but he fought through to stay active and strong as long as he could. Eventually, he went to live at the Margaret Pratt Community in Bradford, Vermont. He was so well taken care of there and came to love the staff and being there.
Randy was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Betty, and his brother Bradley Jodoin.
Randy is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Rogers, son-in-law Cary Rogers, and Granddaughter Alayna Rogers of Groton, daughter Meghan Jodoin, her fiancé Josh FitzGerald, and grandkids Emily Badger, Aidan Badger, and Kendal FitzGerald, and Josh's children Ally and Owen FitzGerald of Starksboro. Brothers and sisters, Debra Greenwood and brother-in-law Brian Greenwood of Milton, Pamela LaBonte and brother-in-law Mark LaBonte of Grand Isle, Robert Jodoin Jr of California, Jeffery Jodoin and sister-in-law Norma Jodoin of Milton, along with many nieces and nephews.
