Randy M. Kelson, our precious husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather passed away May 10, 2025, at his home in Springfield Idaho with his wife Jackie and family by his side.
Randy was born on January 23, 1956, to Dean L. & Anita T. Kelson in Brigham City Utah. He later moved to Layton Utah where he spent most of his life. While growing up Randy and his family really enjoyed going camping, fishing and road trips with his extended family of Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
Randy loved hanging out with his brother Jeff, his best buds Ralph Stott and Paul Faulkner. They were called the gang of renegades by Mr. Stott. They would milk the cows, ride the horses, irrigate the crops and run around in Ralphs car. Randy loved school; he had a perfect attendance record through junior high. He graduated from Layton High School.
After graduation, Randy served a mission to Auckland New Zealand, while there he loved the people, and of course the food. When Randy returned from his mission, he had many jobs, most notable, Management Systems Corporation (MSC), First Security Bank, Utah Transit Authority where he drove bus until he retired in 2018. He really enjoyed driving a tanker truck for Flying "J' with his dad Dean.
Randy married Jackie L Kent on May 2, 2001, and became an instant dad of six children. As a family they loved going camping, BBQ s, pitching tents in the back yard and doing yard work. Randy loved animals and at one time he had 10 dogs.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Anita and Dean Kelson, his mother in law Mary Kent, and grandparents.
Randy is survived by his wife Jackie, children, daughters Stephanie (Jason), Heather (Kelly), Melissa (Dave). Sons Richard, Curtis, Eric (Holly). 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. His brothers, Jeff (Ronda), Brett (Shelley), Rodney (Janet), sisters Lisa, Cindy (Boyd), Khristine.
The Family would like to express our gratitude to Heritage Home Health & Hospice staff for their loving care and support, in particular, Sierra, Annalyse, Emily, Renee, and Chasity.
A celebration of Randy's life will be held by the family at a later date.
